...3/8/12...Rex and Brian are from the bay area and both fairly good fishermen with a lot of personality and humor. Retro-rock, old movies/TV and fishing dominated the conversation. Again the beautiful spring weather treated us well and we hooked and released about 15 fish from 8 to 17 inches We even caught a nice squawfish:-). The scene above was exciting but we never got any closer to this lunker that Rex fought and eventually lost. The air came out of our collective baloon when his line went limp. The evening before the float trip we met on the upper Sac and although we got a late start we did manage to release a couple.
