Pitt River

1/7/12... The Pitt River has been fishing well throughout the fall and winter. There hasn't been muich rain and the river has remained clear and fishable. The lower reaches hold some very nice fish and 18 inchers are not uncommon. Most of the fish are in the 12 to 16 inch range but they are fat and full of fight. The weather is still holding with daytime temps in the 50's and 60's and the fish are there and biting. The fish pictured above was the big fish of the day and it is a fat one as you can see.
