A great day with Andrew!

10/5.... This was Andrew's first ever drift fishing trip and his first ever trip on the lower Sac. He fished well and the fishing God's rewarded him! I believe we netted 10 nice fish with the largest measuring in at 19 inches. We netted this beautiful hen just above the Cypress St bridge. We hooked another one in the same run but couldn't get it into the net.
This healthy hen was fat and hit on a cinnamon Foxes poopah! She fought hard as Andrew skillfully guided her into the net.... What a beauty! We had a fun time on the river and lost and missed another half dozen fish! It was a good day to say the least!
We drifted from the Posse grounds to Bonneyview then took a break for lunch at the San Francisco Deli then finished the day with a float from the Posse grounds to the aqua golf ramp. The evening float started off slow with no action for the first hour or so but ended with a flurry as we hit 3 fish in the last hour. We experimented with our underwater camera and it came out quite nice!
Andrew is a terrific sportman and a good fisherman! He played his fish in quickly and we released them unharmed (maybe a little 'lock jaw'.......LOL). Thanks for a great day!
